Let’s Get It Started!

Hi, my name is Tiffany Texada! I am a chemical engineering student here at the University of Oklahoma. I currently participate in various organizations/clubs on campus, but there is one special organization that I am a member of, and I would like to introduce it. The organization is OU’s Fellowship for Global Engagement. Being an OU Global Engagement Fellow is about global engagement, understanding, and success. The organization highlights my strong passion for travel abroad and global involvement and interaction. I find it extremely important to learn about our global community and engage in it. Therefore, my blog is going to highlight my international and global engagement. I am a sophomore undergraduate student, and I have yet to study abroad. However, I plan to participate in the Arezzo, Italy Fall STEAM semester 2021 program. The program is through the Gallogly College of Engineering. I will continue my rigorous engineering courses while traveling, exploring, and adapting to life in Italy. I am exceedingly excited about this opportunity. Studying abroad will be my first time in Europe, but not my first time abroad. Like I stated before, I love traveling! My first time abroad was on a Caribbean cruise with my family. We have been in multiple crises because they are an inexpensive and relatively safe way to travel abroad. I have been to Mexico, Jamaica, The Grand Cayman Islands, Belize, and Honduras. So far, my favorite place abroad is Belize because the people there are kind, the food is spectacular, and there are different unique excursions. This blog will consist of some of my past experiences abroad, future experiences abroad, and interactions with the global community at OU. Thank you for interacting with my first-ever blog post. For there to be many more to come!
